Fantastic Train Model Buildings at eBay

There comes a time when those who own model railroad train sets are ready to add a layout around the trains. These layouts would, of course, include buildings. The buildings could be homes, industrial or store fronts that make the scene more realistic, like an actual railroad that takes passengers or freight from place to place. Buildings add interest for the viewer and the train operator and are fun to move around to change the scenery.

Welcome to our site which will suggest suppliers who can fill in those empty spaces with appealing homes and buildings, whether it’s a small train set on the floor at Christmas each year or perhaps this year you are planning to enhance and enlarge it and place the entire scene on a large bench. Maybe you already have a few buildings and want to add to them. You can create life-like villages, towns or cities which will offer a lot of visual pleasure.

Hobbylinc.com
Family owned and operated since 1971, this Hoschton, GA based hobby shop near Atlanta went online in 1994 and became one of the largest online suppliers of hobby items in the world. They currently have over 60,000 individual items and they keep adding more every week so it pays to visit their website often, especially since they don’t have retail sales out of their huge warehouse. Important among these items is their stock of trains and accessories. This means they stock thousands of Z, N, HO, and O scale buildings and other train products. They take pride in trying to answer any email inquiries within one day. By subscribing to their bi-weekly newsletter, you will be alerted to any specials available only to their Mailing lists, especially new release items.

You may be interested in their Mittelstadt two-story Yard Tower in Z scale which features a half-timbered exterior with an open staircase at a train stop. Also in Z-scale are a Southern Pacific signal tower and a one-stall locomotive shed. There is also a multi-level freight company building with a dock in HO-scale which has amazing detail like molded walls sections painted in red and arch-shaped windows.

Suitable for ages eight and older, they stock a built-up structure which is a bay window signal tower in G –scale suitable for both indoors and outdoors. It is fully assembled and pre-painted, has both front and rear doors which open, along with window glazing through which you can see light (it has a light switch inside). You can also attach a 75” tall chimney, siding, gutters, downspouts and shingles. What a neat project. For 14 years and over, perhaps you would like a Trackside pack which has three assembly kits including a full slate of figures and accessories in HO-scale. It also has a bridge, industrial water tower and station platform and a full set of instructions with pictures. This site is worth a visit.

Valleymodeltrains.com
Wappingers Falls, NY is the home this company which has O and HO-Scale Big-Buck- Buildings. From its beginnings in 1982 as a part-time model train store, Valley Model Trains soon grew into a full time interest in buildings. Their specialty is offering model building kits for both beginners and master craftsmen. These kits include railroad stations as well as other railroad structures, business, residential and industrial buildings.

Check out the plastic kits for a freight platform in HO-Scale. In S-Scale they have neat kits named Herbert’s Crossing which is made of laser cut bass wood and includes strip wood for a loading dock and a white metal smoke jack. There are so many kits available that you will look forward to spending some enjoyable hours going through their website.

Model trains are designed and constructed with fairly accurate ratios which, of course, depend on whether they are the O scales, N scales, Z scales, T scales, HO scales and so on and on. That means that not only are the trains made to scale but also the railroad tracks and the scenery which can includes snow capped mountains, rolling hills, pasture lands, river gorges, bridges, canyons, tunnels and, of course, train stations with light signals, gates and much more.

Depending on the scenery into which they will ultimately be incorporated, train model buildings may vary in size and style. For example, cityscapes could have multilevel skyscrapers, tall apartment buildings, luxury hotels and fancy office buildings. Country vistas, on the other hand, may have small cottages or even shacks, barns, tiny churches, etc. The objective here is to make it as realistic as possible. But then again, there are no laws that forbid you to mix it up if that is what you prefer.

Great Video which You Don’t Want to Miss.
